These are real slices cut from natural pine logs, not a factory shape. No two are exactly alike. Slices can be round or slightly oval, with a different bark edge, ring pattern and grain, and the width varies from about 4 to 4.5 inches. That is part of the charm: your gift is truly one of a kind. How do I send my photo? You upload it on this product page before adding to the cart. It is required to place the order.

Will my slice look exactly like the one in the photos? It will look just as warm and handmade, but the bark edge, rings and exact shape of each slice are natural and different every time.

What size is it? About 4 to 4.5 inches across. Because the slices are natural, the size and shape vary a little.

How do I display it? Hang it with the twine already tied on, or set it on the small stand that comes with it. The stand has two pieces that slot together, no tools needed. Both are included.

What if my photo is not good enough? We check every photo. If it will not engrave well, we email you before we start so you can send another one.

Can I use a pet photo? Yes. Pets engrave beautifully, especially close-ups with clear eyes.

Is it real wood? Yes. Each one is a real pine log slice with its natural bark edge, not a printed or plastic look-alike.

How should I care for it? Keep it indoors, dry and out of direct sunlight, and dust it with a soft dry cloth.
