A Fluted Crown, Lifted on a Stand

The Flared Fluted Planter turns the usual proportions upside down: a wider ribbed crown at the rim sits over a slimmer fluted body, so the pot reads like a small pedestal seen from below. It is 3D printed in matte PLA and set on a slim cross stand in a contrasting tone that lifts it about an inch and a half off the surface, the mid-century move that turns a planter into a piece of furniture.

At 5.2 inches across and about 5.8 inches tall on its stand, it takes a standard 4-inch nursery pot and works on a console, a sideboard, a bookshelf or a desk. It is a planter cover — keep your plant in its nursery pot, set it inside, lift it out to water. It is the fourth piece in our small-planter family and pairs with the Twisted, Chubby and Waisted planters in the same six colors.

Does it have a drainage hole? No. It is designed as a planter cover: keep your plant in its 4-inch nursery pot, set it inside, and lift it out to water.

What size plant fits? Anything sold in a 4-inch nursery pot, which is most houseplants at a plant shop, and 3.5-inch pots with room to spare.

Does the stand come assembled? The two stand pieces slot together in a cross in seconds and the pot rests on top. No tools, no glue.

Can I get the stand in the same color as the pot? The standard set pairs a contrasting stand with each pot. Message us if you want them matching — it is made to order, so we can usually do it.

How big is it really? About the size of a large coffee mug on a stand: 5 inches wide, under 6 inches tall. It is meant for a console, shelf or desk, not the floor.

Can it go outdoors? No. PLA softens in prolonged direct sun and heat, so keep it indoors and away from radiators and hot south-facing windowsills.
