A Bowl That Sits in Its Own Cradle

The Swirl Ribbed Bowl Planter is two pieces that were designed together: a low, wide bowl wrapped in fine twisted ribs that spiral around it, and a smooth cradle saucer whose back edge rises up behind the bowl like a crescent. The bowl drains through a single hole in the bottom, the saucer catches the water, and the raised lip frames the plant from behind. It is 3D printed in matte PLA in a contrasting two-tone pair, so the ribbed bowl reads against the dark saucer the way a stone reads against its setting.

At about 6 inches across and 3 inches tall assembled, it is a tabletop piece: a console, a sideboard, a coffee table or a wide windowsill. The bowl takes a standard 3.5-inch nursery pot (keep the plant in its pot and lift it out to check the saucer), or plant a succulent or a small trailing plant directly. FAQs

Does it have drainage? Yes. The bowl has one drainage hole in the bottom and sits in the cradle saucer, which collects the excess water. Empty the saucer after watering.

What size plant fits? Anything sold in a standard 3.5-inch nursery pot, and 3-inch pots with room to spare. A 4-inch pot will not fit inside the bowl.

Do the two pieces attach? No. The bowl rests in a shallow recess in the saucer and lifts straight out, so you can take the plant to the sink and put it back in seconds.

Can I get the saucer in the same color as the bowl? The standard set pairs a contrasting saucer with each bowl. Message us if you want them matching: it is made to order, so we can usually do it.

How big is it really? About the size of a dinner plate with a low bowl on it: 6 inches wide, 3 inches tall. It is meant for a console, table or shelf, not the floor.

Can it go outdoors? No. PLA softens in prolonged direct sun and heat, so keep it indoors and away from radiators and hot south-facing windowsills.
